OLYMPIA, WA. – A new report from the AARP ranks Washington as one of the best states in the country for its long-term care services. The Long-Term Services and Supports State Scorecard is compiled every three years and ranks states based on affordability, access, quality of care and other criteria. Washington placed second this year, just behind Minnesota. Both states were among the national leaders in affordability and access, but Washington was ranked a bit lower in community integration, mainly due to lower scores in housing and transportation.
